Venetico Marina is almost in front of the beautiful Aeolian Islands, but it is not even far from Etna, the highest volcano in Europe and UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013.
Etna stands out in north-eastern Sicily and has been active since ancient times; it is currently about 3330 meters high, extending over a perimeter of about 210 km and covering an area of ​​1600 square kilometers. During intense eruptive activities, lava can escape from hundreds of craters on the sides of the volcano, collected in over 260 eruptive systems. You will experience the thrill of walking on top of an active volcano and breathing deep mountain air. And all this just a few kilometers from the sea: the nearby seaside villages offer in fact other charming landscapes to explore.
